Lately

I’ve been good about going to the gym and being calorie-conscious. I’m finding that the endorphins are helping regulate my moods a little bit amidst the stress I’ve been experiencing lately.

I hula hooped tonight after walking around town for my internship - I didn’t really want to leave my dorm because it was the evening and cold out. I’m so  out of practice! I miss being able to sustain for at least 30mins without stopping. I’ll have to hoop every few days or so for practice & also core training of course.

The cycle seats are great for catching up on textbooks. The elliptical makes my toes numb but at least I burn massive calories. And my internship does tons of walking for the recreational activities. I’ve been well exceeding my weekly calorie goals on mfp. The only thing is on days that I don’t exercise I don’t really cut any calories - mostly because I hate feeling hungry and the lack of exercise means my appetite doesn’t die down for part of the day.

I think I’ll make a three bean soup in a couple days to give me some consistent dinners for a while. I’m spending money on Wendy’s chili at least 2-3 times a week for internship days and my income has a tendency to be unstable because of wonky scheduling. Hopefully next year I get the res hall desk job. Laid back, can do some homework. Can make an extra hundred a week which is nice for when I get slashed a shift or two at work. It’s all about reducing stress.

Today

I felt like I maybe overdid myself today. I was proud because I did a full 30 minutes on the elliptical, instead of going 15/15 between it and the seated cycling. I usually do that because my toes go numb after a while, but I try to take small breaks to wiggle my toes now to stop that.

Then I realized I had my internship in 15 minutes so I ran home to change and was half an hour late. My task was to walk all over town to deliver posters, and then later on I walked even more with clients for a recreational activity. In total I think I burned between 700 and 800 calories today, which would be awesome if the rushed nature of my day didn’t result in extended periods without food.

I took an Excedrin and had to overcompensate the calories before I felt completely better. I had work afterwards and tomorrow all day long, so I ordered humbaos and pad thai to help provide meals for tomorrow because I had absolutely no time to prepare some in advance other than basics like snacks, salad, and eggs for breakfast. I also have half of a poppy seed muffin from today, and a lean cuisine dinner if I choose to only eat a quarter of my pad thai for dinner. My deficit was fine today,  it was just less healthy calories than I originally wanted. I won’t have a deficit tomorrow, but I’m okay with that because work days are my rest days, and are also slow and boring days and I end up eating more because of lack of activity to curb my appetite.

In any case, I’m getting towards where I used to be commitment-wise in terms of regularly working out and limiting food indulgences. I’m confident I will reach my goal weight by December when I go to Hawaii!

BACK IN THE SPIRIT

I fell off the wagon about September and spiraled on/off up until recently…

I finally got control over my binge eating and have reverted back to a high-protein diet and am attending the gym at my university campus. :)

I’m back up to 175…. but I hope to be 145 by December (when my friend flies me out to Hawaii).

Welp then… let’s start off with my MEAL PLAN for the day!

Breakfast 1:
2 slices peanut butter toast
1 glass orange juice

Breakfast 2:
2 eggs
Bell peppers
Mushrooms
Hoison sauce
1 cup of tea

Lunch:
Fage 0% plain yogurt cup w/ agave nectar and cinnamon
Baby spring mix salad w/ cashews, gargonzola crumbles, croutons, and balsamic basil dressing

Dinner:
Tomato soup
Turkey & stuffing

Snack:
Wheat thins w/ babybel cheese
Nature’s path pumpkin seed granola bar

That’s just about it, totals around 1700 kcals. :)

My workouts are mostly walking to the gym, spending 15 minutes on the elliptical, then 15 more minutes on those bicycle chair things…. and then end with my walk back from the gym. I usually burn between 400-600 calories doing this depending on how hard I go.

OI OI OI

I’ve been eating dirty for a few days now… but I’m going to try to get on track tomorrow. I’m not terribly worried about meeting weight loss deadlines now.. because I lose the 20lbs I wanted to lose before vacation. The other 15-20lbs will come off on its own as I transition into university life again. Zumba, hooping, weight training - aw ya baby.

My dream is to get a full burlesque get-up and do a photoshoot. And dress up occasionally just to feel sexy, maybe even break it out as an annual Halloween costume. And dress up for future boys in my life. ;) I will practice sexy moves and glamour makeup. Mmmm. I already feel very sexy in my body, just dissatisfied with my definition and waist size.

I’ll make a meal plan for tomorrow…

HOLY MOLY

So I went to my local co-op to get some almond butter… when I stumbled upon EarthBalance peanut butter coconut oil spread. Picked some up… I have NEVER tasted a nut butter so delectable in my entire LIFE. I could eat the entire jar it is so addicting. I’m very happy I picked it up!

Also found 100% egg whites by Lucerne that I have been loving for making my omelettes. :) Now I don’t feel bad about wasting the yolk!
